While some businesses have managed to avoid significant damage, the cleanup effort has been extensive. And the community has rallied together to assist those who’ve suffered the most.

Queensland Premier David Crisafulli has urged people to stay off flooded roads unless absolutely necessary. Authorities continue assessing the damage while providing emergency support to the affected regions. The state has called in additional army personnel from other parts of Queensland to assist with the recovery efforts.

While floodwaters are expected to recede soon. Experts warn that more heavy rainfall is likely to follow, threatening to worsen the already critical situation. Authorities are prioritizing safety and continue offering relief and resources to those in need.

Despite the overwhelming challenges, the resilience of local residents shines through as they begin the long, difficult process of rebuilding their homes and communities.
